About   (request update)
My name is Justyn Grant, a student at Coconut Creek High. I am a very detailed organized individual who appreciates the completion of any given task whether in school or in my community events in a timely manner. From a young age I have always excelled at all I do because I made sure I do my best. I enjoy playing soccer, basketball, video games, swimming, playing my saxophone, reading and volunteering for which I currently have over 700 hours. My long-term goals are completing University after a 5-year program and working for a successful company gaining experience. My professional goals are to become a certified Architect and an accomplished musician.
My family has always supported my efforts, but unfortunately they cannot afford my college fees due to financial constraints. That is why I am taking the initiative of applying for a scholarship. Having outlined all my future goals and career pursuit, I do hope that I can be granted this scholarship to better myself, my community and the citizens.
I dream of one day completing the University of my choice on a scholarship to earn my Architectural Degree. My career vision is to one day be able to provide affordable housing to marginalized communities in the United States.
This scholarship will also boost my confidence and make a huge difference, in my life as I seek to prove myself as a successful student. These are my aspirations and I ask that you make them your choice. Thank You.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My name is Justyn Grant and my short-term goals are completing high school and getting excellent grades towards attending the University of my choice on a scholarship to earn my Architectural Degree. My long-term goals are completing University after a 5 year program and working for a successful company gaining experience. We all choose our goals for different reasons. Maybe you want to get healthier, lose weight, spend more time with family, find a new career or to just make more money. It is important to visualize the end result and what it will feel like when you've achieved your end goal, achieving goals that we establish for ourselves are not easy. That is why knowing how to stay motivated is very important. In a world that is full of a lot of distractions than ever before. I have struggled to stay motivated, especially with my school work as sometimes it can be extremely difficult such as mathematics. Writing down your goals and staying committed is very important. I would not like to be filled with regret at some point in my life because I did not follow through on something I really wanted to do. I also don't want to feel like I failed at achieving the things that are important to me, because I couldn't stay on track when it really counted. Many people think money alone will be enough to motivate them. While that may occur initially, it's very hard to sustain financial motivation if the work you are doing actually is not fulfilling. It is important to surround yourself with positive thinkers who emanate positive energy. Listen to positive information every single day. If you fill your mind with uplifting and inspiring information, it will keep you motivated. Go to the bookstore or library today and find a book on a positive topic that will give you a boost. You need constant reminders telling you that you are capable of achievement what you set out to accomplish. Break goals into smaller tasks and set up a plan or schedule. Break down the goals into months and create action steps for each week. Then to keep from getting discouraged or overwhelmed, focus on the immediate tasks. Accomplish your task for today and look at only the week ahead of you. Stay organized and always keep your goals in front of you. A goal setting worksheet or notebook is a smart way to keep your goals in front of you. Start with making a daily/weekly/monthly to-do list. Getting in the habit of creating to-do lists is an effective way to stay motivated towards achieving your goals. Personally, I love to-do lists and goal worksheets. So often, we get distracted and forget about what we’re working towards. To help with this, I use fun and colorful lists that I keep on my desk and magnet board above my computer. Place your goal sheets in front of you, whenever you can! Remind yourself why you set the goal. Schedule a weekly check in with yourself. Evaluate what’s working and what’s not. If a particular task is not working, ask yourself, “Is this task necessary to my goal?” Remembering the reasons why you want to achieve your goals can be a great motivator. When things feel overwhelming, just take a few moments to sit back and remind yourself why you chose your path in the first place. Was it to help people? Was it because you knew your end goal would lead to long term happiness, even if it was short term work? This can always help you find clarity in the worst moments. Reward yourself. Celebrate your milestones because meeting them and our benchmarks are not easy tasks. Rewards can be a powerful tool in motivating yourself to keep going. Choose appropriate benchmarks and reward levels for your particular goal. Reward yourself for every success, even the small ones. Staying motivated is absolutely within your reach — it's often just about keeping your end goal in mind and breaking down the larger end result into manageable smaller steps. Constantly remind yourself that you can do it!
