Undergrad Major: Respiratory Therapy
Claim To Fame:
Currently I am attending college at SJVC- Bakersfield for a Bachelor’s of Respiratory Therapy Degree. The desire to become a Respiratory Therapist is partially because the majority of COPD patients are veterans. I know I am going to be a very empathetic and comforting member of healthcare for all patients, especially for elderly veterans because I will have a better understanding of what they have been through. This reward would not only help a future Respiratory Therapist; but also, a Cardiac Perfusionist or Physician Assistant. After I have completed my schooling for Respiratory Therapy; my absolute dream is to pursue Cardiac Perfusionist school to better understand the way the heart works or Physician Assistant School and work in the field of Neuroscience with stroke patients. In addition to this; I would also like to find more innovative ways to better the healthcare equipment in hospitals. Any financial assistance I receive would be used to pay off my current student loans so that I can continue to go to a one of these programs upon graduation. With the experience and knowledge, I acquire from these healthcare professions and schooling; I may be able to save hundreds of lives. Possibly even more lives can be saved if after years of experience in the field I am able to create new inventions or improvements to the equipment to help advance medicine.

Activities & Accomplishments:
While in High School I worked as a babysitter, and a Nursery Supervisor at the church and at a small business called Jazzercize. The small amount of money I had earned would go to additional groceries
