I am a first generation college student who recently migrated to the United States. I have been a the Project Lead the Way biomedical sciences magnet for four years. I am BACE certified. I am in the top ten percent of my graduating class. I am a member of multiple clubs and organizations.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
In the future I would like to be a clinical psychologist. Growing up in Jamaica, I witnessed many students including myself struggle with mental health issues but because of the stigma that surrounded getting help many of us pushed it away and continued with our studies. I would like be the change that I wish to see. I want to help end the stigma surrounding mental health issues especially in the black community
