My name is Halli Reese. I am a rising Senior at Hewitt-Trussville High School. I am passionate about social injustice. I love helping others, and I have a heart for children and those less fortunate than me. I plan to attend a four year university in the fall of 2020 and major in Computer Engineering or Computer Science in order to pursue a career in Artificial Intelligence. Human activity and psychology really peak my interest. Programming computers to think like humans would combine several passions of mine and will provide me a fulfilling and rewarding career path.

I am a member of many clubs and organizations in my school including the National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Peer Partners, Senior Board Member, Freshman Orientation Assistant, Wellness Club, Peace Birmingham, FCCLA, and Heritage Panel. The organizations I enjoy most are those that afford me the opportunity to help others. Through participation and leadership of the Heritage Panel and Peace Birmingham, I have helped make a positive difference in my school and community by educating others in regard to social injustice and dispelling cultural myths. I also volunteer as often as I can, because I feel that it is very important to give back.

I work hard to help with my personal expenses. I enjoy baking in my spare time, and I have utilized this hobby to launch a small business selling various homemade cakes. As I mentioned, I love children and I work well with them. In order to turn a passion into a profit, I earned a CPR certification, which placed me in position to babysit for a few different families. I also found a way to ensure all those years of tumbling classes were beneficial as I am now a gymnastics instructor for children at a local gym.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I aspire to become an engineer, and after a few years of experience get promoted so that I can manage a team.
