About   (request update)
My ability to perceive situations in more than one view, effectively communicate with those seeing guidance, and my positive attitude are some of my best personality traits. I pride myself on being authentic and transparent so that others feel comfortable showcasing their true personalities.
Current Whereabouts:
I am currently seeking acceptance into the Master of Arts in Counseling Program at Xavier University of Louisiana. Until then, I have decided to enroll in an online course offered by John Hopkins University. The course, Psychological First Aid, is designed to instruct students on how to properly assist those who have recently suffered from a traumatic experience.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I am a strong advocate for Black mental health. I seek to use current data to create, evaluate, and execute comprehensive school programs, especially revolving around mental disorders in urban communities.

Claim To Fame:
Simply put, my name is Ericka Fulton and I am a recent graduaute (December 2019) of Bethune-Cookman University (BCU). I was able to earn my Bachelor of Science in Psychology. It was here where I found my passion for mentoring and counseling children and young adults. Helping them to discover their strengths and potential was one of the many highlights of my undergraduate career. Xavier University of Louisiana is my prime choice for continuing my academic journey. It is here where I would like to earn my Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling. Also, it was here at BCU where I proposed and conducted my first research project entitled: "An Investigation into the Relationship Between Marijuana Use and Proper Coping Skills Among HBCU Students". I successfully proved that there is a positive correlation between frequent marijuana use and improper coping mechanisms.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moments at BCU include being accepted into the National Society of Leadership and Success, earning a spot on both the President's List and Dean's List, and singing in the Fellowship Gospel Choir. I also was able to serve as a Camp Ambassabor for the Youth Theology Institute that was hosted on the campus of BCU for two years.
Experience
I currently work with ChildCare Careers as Substitute Teacher
I have 3 years of experience working in the Counseling industry.
