“Victoria is the Latin word for ‘victory’ or ‘conquer’...” . Victoria is who people see during their first encounter with me. Victoria is what is written at the top corner of my papers at school, or across a certificate that was given to my parents at birth, but does that matter if there are a plethora of Victoria’s existing in the world? This Victoria is more than just what google, Wikipedia or any other website that provides the origin of my name could say what it may stand for. If my name were an acronym it would stand for: Vibrant, Inspirational, Charismatic, Tactful, Optimistic, Righteous, Intelligent, and Ambitious. I am a 21 year old woman full of charisma with a personality that will bring light to any dull moment. I am the same girl who doesn’t see any fault in desiring to see others excel. I utilize my tact, and views on morality to recognize right from wrong therefore, it’d be wrong of me to watch one of my peers struggle as I continue to progress regardless of the predicament. I am not perfect, a certified therapist, nor mentor but, I’m a sincere and caring human being willing to be the voice one needs or extend myself to be the inspiration the next person needs to reach their fullest potential. I keep a positive/optimistic state of mind, because I have and always will expect the best for myself. I have never settled for anything less than what I felt I was capable of accomplishing. From my perspective on life, nothing is impossible to obtain, so settling is and never will be an option for me. My ambition, and my determination to succeed, is a result of my intelligence. I seek and value knowledge, and I will never get tired of enhancing my intelligence. Without doubt, I definitely consider myself to be victorious, there is not a chance that once I put my mind to something I predict failure. Even if I don’t achieve something when I want to, I know that if I keep working i'll be successful in whatever I'm trying to accomplish. I am Victoria and this Victoria is more than just a name that has the same meaning behind every Victoria on the planet earth. I love my name but I also love the other characteristics that help describe the young, hardworking, caring, affectionate, and joyful African American Victoria that was born on May 14, 1999. This Victoria will forever be: Vibrant, Inspirational, Charismatic, Tactful, Optimistic, Righteous, Intelligent, and Ambitious.

Most Memorable Moment:
My entire sophomore year was extremely memorable and exciting. I had officially been at Hampton long enough to mature and develop into a real Hampton woman and it was the year before I hit complete independence. It was the last year before I had to accept full responsibility for my life and it was a blast. Homecoming was one like no other, I made wonderful friends, I started my major courses, and most importantly I succeeded educationally. Once I made it through the first two years my determination to finish school intensified.
