Claim To Fame:
Participated in student protest to establish first African American Studies Department in the nation at NYU. Helped to select Dr. Roscoe Brown as first professor and director of the AASD while earning Master of Arts Degree. (1968-70).
Most Memorable Moment:
Student Participant lobbying for the first NY State Higher Education Equal Opportunity Act which resulted in the admission of increased numbers of non-white persons to private Ivy League colleges and universities.
High School: Emmerich Manual Training High School in Indianapolis, , IN class of 1964
 
Activities & Accomplishments:
Member Debate Club and Radio Club. First Black African American student to be admitted.
Best Memories:
Became first Black African American Sergeant in ROTC. Became committed civil rights protest marcher. Student member of Indianapolis Urban league Education Committee.
