I am a young black poet who is from the South but praying for a future that includes going abroad. I'm a senior, majoring in English at Philander Smith College.
Current Whereabouts:
Slam Poetry/Creative writing Journalism Anime Sports (Basketball and Volleyball)
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I pray that I am able to do what I love, which is write. I love creative writing and journalism. I want to become a best-selling author and publish my very own poetry book.

Claim To Fame:
My first open mic performance my freshman year of college could be considered my "Claim To Fame" moment. I'd performed in front of people after months of a hiatus.
Most Memorable Moment:
Two of my most memorable college moments are: 1) acting in the school production of "The Colored Museum" and 2) my new member presentation Fall 2019 for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

I was a very active AVID student. Because I was in the AVID program, I was encouraged to do a lot of extracurricular activities outside of school as well as in school. I participated in the Race for t
Best Memories:
Junior and senior year, I performed poetry and a dance routine during the Black History Month program. I remember my first time getting published in the literary magazine and newspaper; I was so excited. I also enjoyed performing at open mic and slam poetry competitions. One of my best high school memories is the summer I went to Arkanasas Governor School, a program for high school students in Arkansas to get together and gain experience on a college campus. I was able to meet new people and further my writing skills.
