I am a student that can be described as determined who possesses much grit.Ambitious, courageous, adaptable, eager, diligent, inventive and persistent are just a few words to describe me. Life is full of constant changes and being able to adapt and stay persistent are essential to reach your goal. For example, I am currently apart of the Dekaney High School Blue Legion band. Playing an instrument helps develop character. Concert band is considered the lowest band whereas symphonic is second highest. In concert band I played the alto saxophone and one of my band instructors silently watched my growth and promoted me to play tenor saxophone with symphonic band . This came by surprise but I took the challenge with open arms. The first day of practice everything moved in double-time as I watched in slow motion. At the end of my first practice I felt defeated and considered quitting. My ambition and drive to succeed would not let me quick. The next class I came prepared to learn, but my instrument broke and it took me three weeks to get a new instrument. This was very discouraging as the class progressed. Instead of sitting on the sideline I decided to fingerplay and watch the videos on how to correctly play the instrument. Once my instrument was ready I joined the band in practice and was elated to see I was able to stay in rhythm and time
Current Whereabouts:
I currently into looking for a way to lift my parent's financial burden so they don't have to worry about paying for my college tuition in focus on other important things in our lives
Life & Professional Aspirations:
Becoming a veterinarian is my biggest dream, and the passion has never dissipated from third grade,it only grew stronger. Life changing, experiences I've had as a kid made me lockdown my future to become a veterinarian.At the age of fifthteen I joined the Future Farmers of America (FFA) I was afforded the opportunity to physically care for and treat animals. The FFA organization helps students to become leaders and learn skills and techniques in agriculture through hands-on application of concepts, experiences, and exposure. As a member of FFA, I was given the opportunity to raise a Berkshire pig, which I named Daisy. Raising Daisy was challenging and rewarding it taught me patience, self-discipline and commitment.
