Claim To Fame:
My “Claim to Fame” in college was being voted “Miss Windy City”. On October 17, 2020, I will be crowned “Miss Windy City”. This moment is special to me because I ran on a leap of faith. I was not sure that I would be picked, but I wanted to do something out of my comfort zone. There is no place like Chicago and going to school in the south makes you appreciate being from a big city. My parents are coming down to help me celebrate and I am so exited to share this moment with them.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moment in college was joining The Society of Distinguished Black Women, Inc. The Society of Distinguished Black Women is a non-Greek organization that focuses on political awareness and community services. My line has 33 educated and well spoken Black women. We spent much time (even more due to covid) with eachother. Being able to uplift one another, share personal stories, and come together as one all while helping others in one of the most trying years was really special to us. It showed us how important it is to be there for those around you, how to prioritize your community, and continue to grow while helping those around you grow as well.

Captain of the Dazzling Diamonds majorette team Member of F.O.C.U.S mentorship and community service group Maintains a 3.7 grade point average through Senior year
Best Memories:
Some of my best memories in high school was surrounded by Spirit week leading up to Homecoming. Everyday we would have different things to do during and after school ; wacky tacky day, gender bender, spirit fest , and more. I really enjoyed hanging out with my friends and preparing for the Homecoming festivities, games, and dance.
