I am someone who grew up in a predominately white town, and went to a predominately white school. I had my life set in stone and I was going to attend a PWI with my friends. I had no idea about HBCU's until the end of my junior year and I fell in love ever since. I never wanted to attend and HBCU due to my background. I have always felt very "white washed" as a black young woman. Always being told I "act, talk and sound" like a white girl, I could never belong and fit in at an HBCU. However, now I am deep into HBCU's, I have only applied to HBCU's, I am the International Secretary of the Common Black College Application, and I will achieve my education through the minds and teachings of my black professors and school proudly.
Current Whereabouts:
very into community service and learning about why people think and do the things they do (Psychology Major)
Life & Professional Aspirations:
Plan to attend an HBCU and major in Psychology with and minor in Neuroscience. I would like to receive my Doctorate in Psychology from the HBCU that I attend as well. In college, I will hopefully be blessed with an internship to shadow a psychologist and take notes.

Best Memories:
Growing up with the same people for 13 years and getting closer and closer to walking across the stage with them and starting my new life. Winning homecoming queen and being elected as Student Body President
