About   (request update)
Michai Mosby is a young native Memphian who simply loves God. Michai was born on April 24, 2003 to Rev. Marcus and Jocelyn Mosby and is the second of three children. At the very tender age of five, he confessed his belief in Christ and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on April 20, 2008. Not knowing that he was called in the womb prior to his birth, Minister Mosby accepted his calling to preach the gospel in December 2014 at the King Solomon Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of his great grandfather, Dr. Van Ford, Jr. At age 12, he preached his first sermon entitled "Put your trust back in God" on February 15, 2015. The ministry of Michai Mosby thrives under the scripture Phillipians 4:13 "I can do all thing through Christ which strengthen me" where he continues to be a beacon of light in his community. His daily actions under his motto "I can because I'm covered by the blood" has made him an exemplar for the children in his generation. He participates in various ministries to transform lives to change the world. Michai, known as preacher boy to his teachers and peers, is an honors 11th grade student at Southwind High School, where he is the Class President, School Announcer, Student Leadership Board member, Future Business Leaders of America Chapter President, Distributive Education Clubs of America and many other clubs and organizations. He is the chaplain of Memphis Police Department's boyscout troop 641 and a member of the NLIC youth ministry. Michai Mosby was recently awarded the National Civil Rights Museum's 2016 Keeper of the dream Award to commemorate his service to Memphis and the surrounding areas. In addition to that, Minister Mosby is the radio announcer for Shelby County Schools and the Stax Music Academy where he is also a vocal student. He serves on the Mayor's Youth City Council for the City of Memphis. Michai believes in giving God all of the honor and praise in all that he does.
