Courtney Melvin, a junior Environmental Studies student at Spelman College, stands out with an exceptional track record. As the visionary CEO and founder of Locstar Hairs Oils, Courtney not only seized the spotlight by securing $150 in the Fall 2023 HBCUFI pitch competition but also showcased her entrepreneurial brilliance. Her dedication to creating hair oils tailored to individual hair porosity levels extends beyond business; she seeks to empower black individuals with a deeper understanding of the chemistry of their natural hair. Beyond her entrepreneurial pursuits and composed demeanor, Courtney is a remarkably selfless and giving individual. She channels her helpful nature into providing guidance to college freshmen.

Embarking on a phase of substantial personal and professional development while serving as the CEO and founder of Locstar Hair Oils LLC.
