Dr. Teshome Yehualaeshet graduated with a D.V.M. from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia and PhD from Justus-Liebig University, Giessen, Germany. After completing his PhD program, he worked as a postdoctoral Fellow and Postdoctoral Associate in Manitoba Institute of Cell Biology (Winnipeg, MB, Canada) and Yale Medical School (Yale University New Heaven, CT, USA), respectively. Currently, he is a Professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), Tuskegee University, involved in teaching and research. The research focuses but not limited to: a) develop improved quantitative and qualitative microbial diagnostic platforms; b) molecular characterization of antibiotic resistance, and genotyping.
The outcome of these targeted areas will be mainly influential to develop safe food.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
To contribute sustainable research directions in food safety and policy development To continue my research in healing fibrosis
