Basketball (Most Offensive Player Award), Officer of National Honors Society, Forensics Champion, Forensic President, Debate, 3x Academic Achievement Award, Titan Ambassador (mentor for Freshmen)
Best Memories:
My best high school memory was when we had a huge protest outside our school against a group of students that were in support of a white supremesist group. It was so powerful because many of the black students thought they would be the only ones protesting, but almost the whole school, in a a predominantly white school, showed up and spoke out. It made me open my eyes to see that I have other people that are on my side besides my black people. In many situations historically, white people have made black people feel like we are "crazy" and "over exaggerating" issues that we speak up against. I felt heard in this event that happened at my school because the white student body knew that it was wrong too and they didn't shy away from the issue.
