Hi there! My name is Adesewa Benson, a computer science major from Nigeria. I have a strong passion for technology and programming, which began at a young age and has continued to grow over the years. My expertise includes a strong understanding of computer systems, programming languages such as Java and Python’s as well as experience in web development and database management

My biggest goal in life is to make my mother proud and to use my skills and knowledge to create positive change in my community and beyond. I believe that education is the key to unlocking limitless opportunities, and I am committed to making sure all the resources my mother invested in my education are evident in my success.
Current Whereabouts:
I've been really into rock climbing and pushing myself to climb higher and more challenging routes. It's been a great way to stay active and build both physical and mental strength. I've also been attending outdoor climbing events with other climbers, which has been a lot of fun.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I've always been fascinated by how technology can make a positive impact on people's lives. As I've grown older, I've realized that technology can also help solve some of the biggest problems we face today. I'm excited to become a software or game developer and create innovative solutions for underrepresented Africans and women in tech. By showcasing their unique perspectives and talents, I hope to promote diversity and break down barriers. I'm also passionate about learning, giving back to my community, and making a meaningful contribution to society. By pursuing my dreams and creating positive change, I believe I can make a difference and help build a brighter future.

Most Memorable Moment:
During my first semester of my freshman year, there were many memorable days that I will always cherish. One of the most memorable was when I went on a hiking trip with some of my new friends from campus. We woke up early in the morning and drove to a nearby national park, where we spent the day exploring the trails and enjoying the beautiful scenery. As we hiked through the forest and up to a scenic overlook, we talked about our hopes and dreams for the future and bonded over our shared experiences as college freshmen. We even made a few new friends along the way, who we ran into on the trail and ended up hiking with for the rest of the day. At the end of the day, we were all tired and sore, but also filled with a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie. It was a day that reminded me of the joys of getting outside and exploring new places, and of the power of making new connections and friendships. Looking back on that day now, it still brings a smile to my face and reminds me of the excitement and possibility of those early days of college.
