As an international student from Nepal, I chose to attend an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) because of the rich cultural experience and the sense of community they offer. HBCUs have a long history of nurturing academic excellence, fostering leadership skills, and promoting social justice.

Attending an HBCU provides me with a unique opportunity to immerse myself in a diverse environment where I can learn from and contribute to the rich tapestry of African American culture. This exposure will not only broaden my worldview but also enhance my ability to collaborate with people from different backgrounds, which is essential in today's globalized world.

Moreover, HBCUs are known for their strong sense of community and support network.
