African American female, born and raised on the southside of Chicago IL. Professional, independent, and enjoys learning. Earned a PhD in Community Psychology in 2018, from National Louis University in Chicago IL. Dissertation title: African American Males and Academic Achievement: Understanding the Challenges of Transitioning From High School to Higher Education.

Current Whereabouts:

Continuing to run a nonprofit organization, founded in 2024. I am seeking to support teens ages 14 to 18, with college support and finding the financial means to transition from high school to higher education. The organization has (2) programs: The My College Going Self Project and the Trunk Essentials Giveaway.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

To continue to enhance and grow my nonprofit: OFF TO COLLEGE INC. (33-1505601). I am also writing my own curriculum: "The College Talk" a curriculum workbook that will help support teens as they make college, career, and life choices.

Claim To Fame:

That school was everything!!! Every time people would see me after so many years, they would say: "You still in school" I would say: "Yes I am". I heard that so much that in 2016, I developed my own college program for teenagers called: The My College Going Self Project".

Most Memorable Moment:

When I made the Dean's List. In 2002-2003, I made the Dean's List. I was excited. However, I also received a full scholarship from my State Representative Daniel Burke: The General Assembly Scholarship. The scholarship changed my life, and saved my college career, because at that time, all of my financial aid was exhausted. I graduated with the help of that scholarship with my BA Degree in 2003.

Activities & Accomplishments:

Graduating in the top 10 percent. I was ranked at number #8 out of #212 graduating seniors. I was a JROTC Student from Freshman to Senior Year, with the best JROTC squad in Chicago, #1 in the city and

All four years!!! Being able to learn from some good teachers who cared so dearly about my education.
