Khary is an award-winning, veteran educator previously based in South Florida. Grounded in African American and African diaspora history and research, he is currently pursuing a PhD in History at Howard University where his work centers around the unsettled questions of race, ethnicity and identity in the 20th & 21st century Americas. A member of several scholarly societies including ASALH, OAH, AHA, ACH & AAIHS, Khary previously studied Atlantic History and Journalism at Florida International University earned his MA and bachelor’s degrees. He currently serves as the Head of Research for the Center for an Equitable Economy & a Sustained Society at Howard University.
