Choosing to attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) was a decision deeply rooted in the desire to immerse myself in a supportive community that values and celebrates diversity and inclusion. At an HBCU, I have the opportunity to connect with peers, faculty, and mentors who share similar cultural backgrounds and experiences, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment. Additionally, attending an HBCU exposes me to a rich legacy of academic excellence, leadership development, and social activism, which will undoubtedly shape my perspective and equip me with the skills necessary to navigate a diverse and dynamic world. Ultimately, attending an HBCU aligns with my commitment to personal growth, social justice, and contributing positively to my community, all of which are essential in achieving my future goals in life.
