As a first-generation college student, I strive to attend college and receive a debt-free degree. I chose chemical engineering to become a cosmetic chemist to further expand my product line (Anjelic Hair Care). In 11th grade, I joined an entrepreneurial program (Lite Memphis). During this 8-week program, I developed Anjelic Hair Care's first product, The Organic Flaxseed Gelee. However, I quickly found that finding the perfect formulation of all-natural ingredients that would allow my product to last longer than two weeks (and not be refrigerated) would be a challenge. I began working with a chemist, researching independently, and staying up countless nights until I discovered the solution. I identified the right amount of ingredients needed to extend the shelf life.
