Dillard University class of 2024

Coming from a predominantly white institution, I found myself often feeling isolated and disconnected from my roots and identity as a minority student. Transitioning to Dillard University, an HBCU, was a transformative experience. Here, I found a community that not only accepted me but embraced me for who I am. The support system provided by fellow minorities, faculty, and staff has been invaluable. It's empowering to be surrounded by individuals who understand and share similar experiences, challenges, and aspirations. This sense of belonging has made me feel more comfortable expressing myself and pursuing my goals without fear of judgment or exclusion. Attending an HBCU has also opened doors to numerous networking and career opportunities. I know that the values, skills, and connections I've gained here will continue to guide me on my journey towards success.
