As a sophomore accounting major attending an HBCU, my decision to choose this institution was rooted in my desire for a more diverse and enriching educational experience. Having grown up in a non-diverse environment, attending an HBCU has provided me with a unique and supportive community where I can connect with like-minded individuals who share similar backgrounds and experiences. The HBCU environment has opened doors to numerous opportunities and allowed me to establish meaningful connections with mentors who have walked a similar path. Being surrounded by individuals who understand and have overcome similar challenges has not only enriched my academic journey but has also provided invaluable guidance towards achieving success in my future career goals. The sense of community and shared experiences at an HBCU has been instrumental in shaping my educational and professional aspirations.
