My name is Weena Woodrup, and I am a sophomore at the University of the Virgin Islands. I graduated from St. Croix Educational High School and St. Croix Career & Technical Education Center in the spring of 2022. I became a Certified Phlebotomist, and my next goal is to become a Registered Nurse. In three years, I have experienced being a medical biller, behavior technician, and front desk representative. Exploring these job experiences has made me realize that my career path is geared toward Nursing.
Current Whereabouts:
I am currently reading a book series by Rebecca Yarros.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
After I become a Registered Nurse, I plan to gain enough experience to become a travel nurse. I will do that throughout my 20s and when I am ready to settle down. I will pursue my master's degree and become a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Claim To Fame:
During my freshmen and sophomore years in college, I was known as "the student who was always ahead" or "the professor's pet." For some reason, professors naturally take an interest in my work. I go above and beyond with my assignments, especially if creativity is a point towards our grade. I am known to be responsible; therefore, when I entered the nursing program, my peers naturally voted me as one of the Class 2026 Representatives/ Cohort.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable college moments were when my classmates and I went on field trips during our SCI100 Lab. From week 10 to week 13 of the fall semester, we visited different locations, such as the beach, rainforest, and mangrove sites. We had to learn how to identify different specimens and plants to help us learn about our small island. These adventures brought me back to my childhood memories in middle school, which is why they are my favorite college experiences.
