Nyela Harrison (One who succeeds or perseveres--Somalia) is a student enrolled at Hampton University pursuing a B.S. degree in Systems, Organization, and Management. She is a recipient of the 2023 TMCF Sallie Mae Fund “Bridging the Dream” Scholarship for High School Seniors.

Nyela is an entrepreneur, artist, and thinker who expresses her talents through dance, song, and poetry. She has been writing poetry and singing since she was very young. Nyela Harrison founded Creations by Nyela Iman, LLC in 2021 to share her message of authentic beauty, faith, love, hope, and culture through her digital creations. She is the graphic designer and original creator of all images displayed on the merchandise for CBNI. Her tagline is: Be Authentically You!


Nyela started dancing in the summer of 2018.

I am Nyela Iman Harrison. My parents gave me a name that has driven my life; Nyela means 'One who succeeds or perseveres' (Somalia), and Iman means faith. I am Nyela Iman, a person who succeeds through faith. I am a 17-year-old freshwoman enrolled in the Hampton University Online Undergraduate Program (a.k.a., Hampton U). I currently have a 4.066 G.P.A. I am pursuing a B.S. degree in Systems, Organization, and Management. Aside from my academic pursuits, I have a passion for poetry, lyrical dance, singing, and entrepreneurship. I established Creations by Nyela Iman, LLC, an e-commerce company specializing in apparel and other merchandise that promotes values of authentic beauty, faith, love, hope, and culture. My goal as an entrepreneur is to leverage the business degree I will obtain from Hampton University to expand and improve my company.

We continue this work by offering unique and specialty gifts, gadgets, and pet apparel for you and those you care about. It is our mission to not only offer the best products and great bargains but also to provide the most reliable customer service possible. About the founder I am Nyela Iman, a 17-year-old college student, dancer, YouTuber, author, and creator of Creations By Nyela Iman, LLC. I started this company and brand (at 14) to share my message of authentic beauty, faith, love, hope, and culture.
