As a junior journalism major and Spanish minor at Howard University, Kayla Farris is determined to make the most of her HBCU experience. She is a member of Spotlight Journalism Network, the HU Association of Black Journalists, Her Campus, and serves as the Public Relations Director for Cover 2 Cover Magazine. Outside of SOC, she can be found mentoring fourth-grade girls with B.E.S.T. You Programming and serving as Chief of Staff of the organization. Kayla serves as a Senator for the Howard University Student Association Senate and as Chairwoman of the Public Relations Committee for the 2023-2024 school year. Lastly, Kayla has juggled all of her extracurriculars, executed 3 internships, and completed over 100 hours of community service while making the deans list every semester thus far.
