About   (request update)
I am outgoing and very passionate about my future in technology and engineering. I wake up everyday looking forward to a new day on this path. I am always willing to learn new things and I am devoted to being a successful engineer.
Current Whereabouts:
My current project I have for S.T.E.M is energy/solar panel research. My objective is to restore the solar facility that was built on U.D.C campus in 2005. It was a joint project with a country in Africa for us to build a design that would work in Africa that would help people over there make use of it for energy purposes which is much needed, also this was built and powers irrigations system at UDC which supports the whole agriculture program at U.D.C and has produced a whole beautiful garden with all types of vegetables and fruits. This is the second project I have worked on since being in the S.T.E.M program. What I love about S.T.E.M is a passion I have to work with tech in ways that haven’t been done before and through our extensive research S.T.E.M. allows us to accomplish this goal. I have been working with technology all my life professionally starting in 2010 help desk and Dell to working at home with 3d printer home projects fixing other people’s tech, to being in major groups at my college, president of N.S.B.E, S.T.E.M, and I.E.E.E, to which I received rewards and certifications for. I am also involved in AMIE at UDC which this year I competed in a competition with my team members from UDCC in Baltimore at Beya Conference currently am still involved in all three organizations at U.D.C and hope to be a part of N.A.S.A program at my school next year. I also just attended the awards ceremony last week at UDC and received an certificate for the Deans list at UDC, which I included in the email sending this writing. I attend church and have connected with the pastor as well on a personal level to where she knows my activities in school and technology, so much so that I have done community service for her at the church with her computers when they were having problems. I also go in on weekends sometimes to help sort flyers to hand out in the neighborhood for the church and then come back the next day to hand them out. I love my PC and building PCs. I like to exercise and play sports, I also love movies and video games and just taking walks outside sometimes.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
MY biggest personal achievement for me has been me finding out something I seem to be good at in life, which is technology. After attending Hampton University and UMBC in 1998 and 1997 and majoring in Math/Accounting I stop going, I felt only thing I did know I wanted to do was play football in college which I did and I just knew I was good at math because I actually skipped a grade because of math skills. I then started a career in I.T. which I did for 15 years and then worked for Dell for 5 years before figuring out I liked technology, and I also was good at math as I used to be a math major and thought to myself technology and math is an engineer. I believe and maybe you would too if I were to go into detail about how I came to feel like I was meant to be an Electric Engineer in my life that God brought me to this position. I had the kind of mother who didn't care if I got a degree, she just wanted me to be happy, but I know if I were to get a degree, she would be filled with joy and that's what she really wants for me. Unfortunately, right when I am so close to the finish line, she passed away a couple months ago nothing has ever hurt as much. Since she has passed it has been extremely hard on me financially, I feel a little worn out. I started to look into what it offered and fell in love and knew I wanted to be an electric engineer, so I went back to school as a double major electric engineering/science and am in my junior year. My mother would be so happy right now as I have received an intern for the summer at the navy, NRL(Navy Research Laboratory) Internship.

Education   (request update)
University of the District of Columbia class of 2025
Undergrad Major: Electrical Engineering
Claim To Fame:
Straight A's three times deans list getting 1000's on tests and being able to participate in groups like STEM that have allowed me to fly on a plane for my first time.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moments include the times when I received 1000's on my tests and got on the dean's list and straight A's three times. For me as a older student coming back to school this meant a lot because I had prethought that was resonating very strong for years before I returned to school that God wanted me to become an engineer and everything in my fabric told me so, so to receive these grades it gave me kind of a confirmation that I was heading on the right path. Secondly some of my most memorable moments were the events I attended being a part of groups like AMIE STEM IEEE and NSBE. My first time ever getting on a plane was through college with the STEM program, we went to Arizona. It was such a big deal that my possible future career allowed me to travel on a plane somewhere I enjoyed this event so much. I went with a professor to New Jersy for IEEE and loved it. Also, other conferences in Baltimore and DC. It just seemed like any event I went to was so great for me.
