Ahmeed Turner serves as vice president of scholarships and student support and executive director of Say Yes Syracuse at the Central New York Community Foundation. Ahmeed is responsible for ensuring that all eligible students receive Say Yes scholarships. Additionally, he manages the Community Foundation’s many scholarships while providing college admissions and financial aid support to students and their families. Prior to his current position, he also served as Say Yes Syracuse program coordinator, site director and scholarship director. Ahmeed holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Cheyney University and master’s degrees in marriage and family therapy from Syracuse University and nonprofit administration from the University of Notre Dame. He currently serves on the boards of direc
Current Whereabouts:
I am passionate about post secondary education, strongly believe has and continues to change the world. I am also passionate about black boys and young men of color, and letting them know they are a value to their communities. I also feel black men's mental health especially in current environment is important.
