Most Memorable Moment:
College days swiftly passed.... And the memory is hazy for this Virginian in Louisiana. My specific memories are flashes of thought that I'll get when I see colors or a certain song comes on the radio. The road trips with the crew to the east coast to visit folks in North and South Carolina. Seeing the "Grambling Jesus" walking the streets of Houston. Watching DJ Shadow (now know as DJ Astronaut) rollerblading all across campus. Friday Fish day at the cafe. The smell of cucumber Mellon and sound of Maxwell's Urban Hang suite. Seeing her smile, when a certain incense were lit. Awkward cold and silence of campus of folks stuck during the holiday breaks because we were new and hadn't made many local friends. The bitter elation of major milestones past that I couldn't see my fathers tough love expression filled with pride to see his son FINALLY graduate. The people that called me brother, friend, love, "Pluto", "diamond D", "picklehead", "crust", and even dumbass. The opportunities missed, discoveries made, and a hustle developed. BUT MOST important of all, getting my first job straight out of college because a fellow Gramlinite and Panhellenic Council member saw value in me.
