About   (request update)
I have been in the political organizing scene for about three years now and counting! I mentioned earlier that I was able to start the first and only Chapter of Generation Action on an HBCU campus in South Carolina. Which was an achievement not only for me but for my campus family as well. Through this organization, we have been able to foster such a tight-knit and caring family. We have learned together, laughed together, and most importantly grown together. I am so proud of what this organization means to me and what it means to my campus community as well!
I have also grown as a political organizer through Southern Vision Alliance's Political organizing fellowship. I have been a fellow with Southern Vision Alliance's Students Organizing the South program for the past three years!
Current Whereabouts:
I am currently a student a Claflin University, I am in my junior year and doing my best to maintain my 4.0 GPA. I am also a member of the NAACP along with the political engagement committee of the NAACP. Along with being a member of Mentally me , a mental health organization on my campus. All while managing being the president of my own organization (Generation Action)!
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I would love to work in the Non-Profit world or the Organizing world. But I would also love to work anywhere and any way that can benefit the community!
Education   (request update)

Claim To Fame:
I started the first Generation Action Chapter on an HBCU campus in South Carolina. Our particular chapter is a branch of the Black organizing program of Planned Parenthood. We have spent the last three semesters growing not only as an organization. But growing our campus community for the better! We are specifically focused on bringing a more inclusive approach to things like Social Justice, Reproductive Justice, Sexual and Mental Health, and more!
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable college experience was when I traveled to St. Croix to present my research on Bahia and Salvador, Brazil at the Caribbean Studies Association conference in 2023. As well as being able to be a panelist for the student organizers panel at the Southern Vision Alliance Summer Summit in the summer of 2024
Experience
I currently work with Southern Vision Alliance as Student Organizer
I have 2 years of experience working in the Community, Social Services, and Nonprofit industry.

This fellowship allows students to grow not only in an organizing sense but as a person as well. Through this fellowship, students are able to tackle campus and community-wide issues with the help of seasoned organizers. Who are more than willing to provide not only their plethora of resources, but their vast wealth of knowledge as well.
