I'm Nadia Bradley, a senior at Chicago Bulls College Prep. Throughout my Highschool experience, I have been apart of the National Honor Society, High Honor Roll, multiple Student of the Quarter, Student Ambassadors, Camp Counselor, Delta GEMS, and also Election Judge. During highschool I also have held many job experiences for example, I was apart of a Corporate Work Study Program where I worked for a company called Dykema where I worked receptionists from Aug 2021-March 2023. I also worked at Target as a Starbucks Barista from May 2023-Feb 2024 and at Sandbox VR Retail Associate from Feb2024-Current. I'm committed to Howard University, majoring in Psychology, with the goal of creating a mental health institution for Black juveniles to give back to the community.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

I aspire to study psychology, focusing on children. I believe childhood experiences shape who we become; just as mine have shaped me. It is my belief that each and every child especially those with trauma should have access to therapy. Even minor issues can grow into significant problems if not addressed early. I want to make a difference by establishing a mental health institution specifically for Black and Brown youth. Mental health in the African-American community is often overlooked and stigmatized. My goal is to create a welcoming space where people feel safe seeking help. Growing up, I was afraid to talk about my mental health, worried I would be sent somewhere I wouldn’t feel comfortable. I want to change that narrative, ensuring people view mental health support as a positive resource rather than a source of fear. My experiences have fueled my passion for helping others navigate their struggles, providing the understanding and support I once craved while creating safe spaces. Throughout my journey, I’ve learned that healing and connection are possible, and I hope to foster that for others. I’m determined to create a space where every child feels valued, understood, and encouraged to seek help without fear.
