Currently, I am deeply immersed in my studies as a Mathematics major at Alcorn State University, where I’m focused on enhancing my understanding of statistical analysis, coding, and mathematical modeling. Beyond academics, I’m actively involved in the Alcorn cheerleading team, which has helped me develop strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. I also enjoy engaging with my peers and faculty through student government, where I have held leadership roles such as Freshman Class President and Sophomore Class Vice President. In addition, I’m passionate about exploring how mathematics can be applied to real-world problems, particularly in education and research. My "Claim to Fame" in college is being selected as a cheerleader for Alcorn State University. As someone who has always had a deep passion for athletics, teamwork, and school spirit, becoming a part of the Alcorn cheerleading team was a dream come true. It not only allowed me to represent my school at various athletic events but also provided a platform to inspire and motivate my peers. Through cheerleading, I’ve learned valuable lessons in leadership, discipline, and perseverance. Being on the team has also given me the opportunity to connect with students, faculty, and alumni in a way that has helped me build lasting relationships and a sense of pride in my university. This experience has shaped me into a more confident and driven individual, and it continues to fuel my ambition as I work toward my personal and academic goals.
Most Memorable Moment:
One of my most memorable college moments occurred as soon as I arrived at Alcorn State University. I made a conscious effort to stand out and engage with my peers, which led to me being elected as the Freshman Class President. It was an incredible experience to lead my class, get involved in campus activities, and serve as a voice for my fellow students. This opportunity allowed me to develop leadership, communication, and organizational skills, and it was a true honor to represent my class throughout that year.
Another unforgettable moment came when I became a part of the Alcorn cheerleading program. Joining the team was something I had dreamed of for years, and to be selected as a cheerleader for such a prestigious school was a major highlight of my college journey. The excitement of supporting our athletic teams and the bond I formed with my teammates is something I will always cherish.
