Claim To Fame:
I would consider my "Claim to Fame" experience in college has been my ability to persist through the hardships of life. I have pushed myself through working full time in retail and maintaining full time school this semester. I have lost many people in my family due to illnesses the last few years, and it has impacted my mental health a lot. What motivates me the most, has been the comforting thought of them cheering me on from Heaven. My major is early childhood education. I am also extremely motivated by the thought of helping my students and providing my classroom as a safe and fun place to learn. I want to encourage my students to take pride in their education in the same ways my past educators did for me. I would not be the girl I am today if it weren't for every single thing I have experienced and lived through. I try to use these experiences to become stronger and help those around me. I want to appreciate life as much as I can and try to leave my positive mark in my community.
Most Memorable Moment:
The most memorable college moments I share have been with my fellow classmates and friends. I have even made lifelong friends at my place of work while in college. Even when I was struggling or falling behind, my friends and loved ones have always motivated me to keep going. Even when I was very stressed and overwhelmed with everything on my plate, I know that I will never give up. There is something so beautiful about knowing I was never alone. I feed well off of other's uplifting spirit and energy. I want to pass that onto my future students as well. I will always remember my favorite places to study, such as the library and coffee shops downtown.
