As a medical intern at Piedmont Henry Hospital, I engaged in a comprehensive, hands-on clinical training experience within a 259-bed acute care facility that is part of the Piedmont Healthcare network. My responsibilities included taking patient histories, conducting physical examinations, assisting in medical procedures, and developing treatment plans under the supervision of licensed physicians. I participated in diverse rotations across internal medicine, emergency care, surgery, and other core departments, allowing me to strengthen my diagnostic reasoning, bedside manner, and patient management skills. In addition to clinical duties, I collaborated with interdisciplinary teams, maintained accurate documentation using the hospital’s electronic medical record system, and attended daily rounds and case discussions to further enhance my medical knowledge.
