Passionate Psychology student at North Carolina Central University, aspiring to become a Clinical Child Psychologist with a deep passion for understanding and addressing the ecological factors that influence adolescents’ learning experiences, both inside and outside of the classroom. My focus is on helping adolescents, especially those with mental disabilities, navigate their educational and home environments to improve their overall well-being and academic success.

Through my coursework and research, I have gained valuable insights into developmental psychology, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and the unique challenges faced by adolescents with mental health concerns. Claim To Fame:
My claim to fame in college is being a dedicated scholar-leader who maximized the opportunities at North Carolina Central University. As a Chancellor’s Cycle Scholar and three-year McNair Scholar, I became known for my commitment to research, graduate school preparation, and academic excellence. I also made my mark on campus as President of the Pre-Alumni Association, where I helped revive the organization, hosted engaging events, and worked to strengthen connections between students and the university. Overall, I am recognized for balancing leadership, scholarship, and service while pursuing my goal of becoming a Clinical Child Psychologist who supports the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic development of children and adolescents through evidence-based psychological services and interventions in schools.
Most Memorable Moment:
Recognizing my purpose in child and adolescent psychology has been one of the most meaningful parts of my college journey. Through my coursework, leadership roles, and experiences as a McNair Scholar, I began to see how deeply I am called to support young people. I became especially interested in how children’s social, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs are shaped by their environments—at home, in school, and in their communities. Over time, I realized that I don’t just want to understand these challenges; I want to be part of the solution. This is why I am committed to becoming a Clinical Child Psychologist who supports the social, emotional, behavioral, and academic development of children and adolescents through evidence-based psychological services and interventions in schools. Knowing that my future work can help students feel seen, supported, and capable has given my education a clear purpose and has guided every step I take in and beyond the classroom.
