Claim To Fame:
I like to say that my claim to fame in college would be being known as the best and most trustworthy intern in the sports information department at Norfolk State University. Although I may not be as known on campus, my name is well known in some of the hardest rooms to access in the collegient space because of my professionalism and creative abilities.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moment in college was when I was working one of the basketball games that was being broadcasted. My job was to make sure the DJ, Jumbotron conductor and referee communication for playback requests on a regular game day. This game day, we broadcasted with ESPN and it was my job to be in communication with ESPN as well without warning or training. I had to get instructions straight from the man in ESPN while also making sure I did my first job to my best ability. To make a long story short, at the end of the night the man I worked with offered his praise and gratitude for making his job seamless while I also had no issues with my regular job either. The athletic director also complimented how I handled myself under pressure and solved problems with ease at the end of the night. I learned first hand that you never know who’s watching.
