Myron Mayne is an emerging media professional with experience in journalism, content creation, and digital storytelling. A former Transit Operator with the Toronto Transit Commission, he made a bold career pivot to pursue his passion for media. Currently studying Journalism with a Psychology minor at Howard University, Myron brings a unique perspective as a Black, gay, international transfer student. He has experience in podcast engagement, social media strategy, and amplifying underrepresented voices, with a deep commitment to mental health and LGBTQ+ advocacy.

Most Memorable Moment:
One of my most memorable college moments was assisting with Howard University’s student-led election coverage for the 2024 Presidential Election as part of the social media team. Being on the ground, helping to capture student reactions, and engaging our campus audience in real time was electrifying. What made it even more powerful was witnessing Vice President Kamala Harris—an alumna of Howard—during such a historic moment. Seeing her return to the university that shaped her reminded me of the legacy I’m now a part of. It was life-changing, inspiring, and solidified why I chose to be here.
