About   (request update)
Current Whereabouts:
Right now, I’m really into anything that helps me grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. As a psychology major, I’m fascinated by understanding the mind and how people process their experiences. Lately, I’ve been deep into reading books, listening to podcasts, and watching documentaries about mental health, emotional intelligence, and trauma healing. I love learning how different factors like childhood, environment, and identity shape who we become. I’m also into self-care and finding balance. College can be overwhelming, so I’ve started to take mental wellness more seriously. Whether it’s journaling, meditating, going for walks, or just having a chill day to reset, I’m learning how to take care of myself so I can show up better for others. Music is another big part of what I’m into. I use it as therapy, motivation, and a way to unwind. Whether I’m studying with something calm in the background or dancing around my room to clear my head, music helps keep me grounded. Overall, I’m into anything that helps me become the best version of myself because the more I grow, the more I can give back to others as a future therapist and advocate.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My life and professional aspirations are deeply rooted in one goal: to help others heal. As a psychology major at Norfolk State University, I’ve discovered a true passion for mental health and emotional wellness, especially within the Black community. I want to be a resource, a safe space, and a guide for people who are navigating life’s challenges particularly those who may not have had access to support or representation in the mental health field. Professionally, I aspire to become a licensed clinical psychologist or counselor. I plan to specialize in trauma, depression, and anxiety, working with youth, families, and individuals from underserved backgrounds. I want to open a private practice that not only provides therapy but also offers community workshops and outreach programs that educate people on coping skills, emotional intelligence, and self-care. In the long term, I hope to be involved in shaping how mental health is viewed and handled in schools, neighborhoods, and within our culture. I want to be part of changing the narrative that says we have to suffer in silence. Mental health matters, and I want to be one of the people leading that conversation with compassion and purpose. On a personal level, I hope to live a life of balance and growth where I continue to learn, travel, and surround myself with people who inspire me. I want to be the kind of person who not only succeeds in her field but also makes a meaningful impact in the lives of others. My aspiration isn’t just about a career it’s about purpose. I want to heal, uplift, and create spaces where people feel empowered to be their full, authentic selves.

Claim To Fame:
My “claim to fame” in college isn’t tied to a title, trophy, or spotlight moment it’s the impact I’ve made by being a voice for mental health and emotional wellness on campus. At Norfolk State University, I’ve become known as someone who genuinely cares about others, who listens, supports, and advocates for those struggling silently. Whether it’s organizing or participating in mental health awareness events, speaking up in class discussions about psychological issues that affect our community, or simply being the friend people turn to when they need someone to talk to, I’ve built a quiet but powerful reputation as someone others can trust. My claim to fame is being a go-to person for emotional support and understanding something I believe is just as valuable as any academic achievement. In a world that often tells us to hide our feelings or push through pain, I’ve worked to help normalize conversations around mental health, especially among other young Black students. That legacy being remembered as someone who created safe spaces, offered empathy, and encouraged others to seek help is what I’m most proud of. It’s a reflection of who I am and the therapist I’m working hard to become.
Most Memorable Moment:
Some of my most memorable moments in college didn’t happen during big events or in lecture halls they happened in the everyday experiences that shaped who I am. One of the most impactful moments for me was the first time I spoke up during a psychology class discussion about mental health in the Black community. I shared my perspective, and to my surprise, others opened up too. That moment reminded me why I chose this path to be a voice, to create space, and to help people feel seen. It was a turning point in my confidence and a moment where I felt deeply connected to my purpose. Another unforgettable experience was attending a campus mental health event where students were encouraged to share their stories. Hearing others speak about anxiety, grief, and healing reminded me that we’re all carrying something. I felt proud to be part of a community that supports open dialogue and emotional growth. That night solidified my commitment to becoming a therapist and creating similar safe spaces in my future career. Beyond the classroom, my most memorable moments also include the quiet ones late-night study sessions with friends, deep conversations in dorm rooms, and those moments when I felt overwhelmed but chose to keep going anyway. Those experiences taught me resilience, patience, and the value of surrounding yourself with people who uplift you. College has given me more than an education it has given me memories of growth, connection, and becoming. And those are the moments I’ll carry with me for life.
