Brooklyn Hinton is a driven student leader, social impact advocate, and aspiring attorney with a passion for policy, equity, and community empowerment. She has experience in nonprofit leadership, public speaking, and organizing social justice initiatives. As the founder of The Power Project, she focuses on voter education, civic engagement, and uplifting underserved communities. Brooklyn has served as president of multiple student organizations, led mentorship programs for young Black girls, and actively contributes to campus life at Hampton University. Her work is grounded in service, leadership, and a deep commitment to creating systemic change.
Current Whereabouts:
I’m currently focused on building **The Power Project**, a social impact initiative that promotes voter education, policy advocacy, and civic engagement—especially in underserved Black communities. I’m also deeply involved in campus leadership at Hampton University, where I’m working on launching a women’s empowerment club, *Women @ The Waterfront*. Outside of that, I’m exploring opportunities in law, public policy, and nonprofit development, all while continuing to mentor and uplift young leaders who want to create change.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My life and professional aspirations are rooted in service, justice, and community empowerment. I aspire to become an attorney, eventually serving as an Attorney General, where I can influence policies that protect and uplift marginalized communities. Long term, I aim to shape national legislation that addresses systemic inequality, particularly in education, voting rights, and economic access. Through initiatives like *The Power Project*, I plan to build a legacy of civic engagement and policy reform that starts at the grassroots level. My ultimate goal is to be a powerful voice for change—grounded in faith, fueled by purpose, and committed to impact.
