About   (request update)
Greetings,
I am Markia Glass hailing all the way from Atlanta, Georgia. I am a sophomore at the illustrious Savannah State University. Since becoming a tiger, I have had the opportunity to branch out of my comfort zone and step into a whole new spotlight. During freshman year I became the 2024-25 President of Tiger Court, I also got involved with the Greek Mentorship Program, from there I have always enjoyed creative writing and poetry. I wrote poetry in high school and since then it's a passion that I have. I joined the organization W.O.R.D on campus and have performed at events at school. I have been an honor roll/dean's list student and have been working hard to get my degree to become an educator.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I am aspiring to be an English middle grades teacher. I want to be able to impact my students inside and outside of the classroom. I think being an educator is the perfect fit for me because of the impact my teachers had on me. I think everyone's journey starts in the classroom at school and as an educator your there to put knowledge into your students, but your also there to impact them and be there guide.

Claim To Fame:
If I had a "claim to fame" in college I would say that mines is that I'm outgoing and I am very interactive with things on campus. So far since being at an HBCU I've had the opportunity to join an org named W.O.R.D and be the President of the Residential Housing Association for Tiger Court. I've also been in the Greek Mentorship Program and have just been networking with staff and other students getting my name out there.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable experiences this far in my college journey have been my poetry performances in front of the school and getting my artistry name out there. Also just meeting new people who have become my friends that I've shared bonds with. Also participating in events on campus and just overall enjoying my time at my HBCU.
Experience
I currently work with Savannah State University as Student
I have years of experience working in the industry.
