Hi, I’m Mar’Kel Dupree born in Galveston but Raised in La Marque, Texas, now residing in Houston,Texas. After High School and Junior College I begin my Four Year degree at Texas Southern University graduating with a Bachelor’s in Human Performance (Kinesiology)and currently finishing my Master of Public Executive Administration. By day, I’m a Behavior Special Education Teacher/Coach who help people level up, and by night I’m a husband to My Beautiful Wife Sydne Dupree of 11 months and proud dog dad to four-legged kids, Four, Blaze and Kali Dupree. Life stays busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Current Whereabouts:

Reading, Exercising, Traveling, and Fellowship with friends and family.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

Starting a few business with my wife and my fraternal brothers.

Claim To Fame:

My claim to fame in college is the unique journey and impact I’ve made as both a student and a leader at Texas Southern University. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Human Performance with a focus in Kinesiology, specializing in Leisure Studies and Recreation. I’m currently completing my Master of Public Executive Administration at TSU as well. What sets me apart is how I’ve taken full advantage of opportunities to grow academically, professionally, and globally. Through networking and campus involvement, I was able to transition into the role of a Behavior Special Education Teacher/Coach, using my education to make real world change. I’ve also been recognized for my passion for community impact, leadership, and connecting with others helping to motivate and guide students following behind me. My claim to fame is not only graduating from an HBCU, but also using every experience there to elevate myself and help others do the same.

Most Memorable Moment:

Some of my most memorable college moments happened at Texas Southern University both in and out of the classroom. One moment that stands out was graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in Human Performance (Kinesiology), knowing all the challenges I overcame to get to that point. Along with the organizations I was apart of the and trips we took. That sense of accomplishment was unmatched. Another unforgettable experience was studying abroad in Ghana, Africa in March 2025 as part of my Master of Public Executive Administration program. It was life changing to experience another culture firsthand, while expanding my global understanding of public policy and administration.
