About   (request update)
Hi! I'm Nevaeh Boone, an 18-year-old rising freshman at Howard University. While I’m currently undeclared, I’m planning to explore Psychology with the goal of becoming a Child Psychologist. Helping others—especially kids—is something I’ve always been passionate about, and I’m excited to dive deeper into the field of mental health and development.

I was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, and while I love my neighborhood, downtown’s skyline is hands-down my favorite part of the city. Outside of academics and work, I love spending time with friends, watching movies and shows, listening to music, thrifting, exploring fashion and makeup, and, of course, shopping. I’d describe myself as a kind, bubbly person who loves to laugh and bring joy to others.

22nd Ward Intern | Mikva Challenge
From June 2025 to August 2025 • 0 year(s)
Mikva Challenge is a youth development and civic education organization that empowers young people to become informed, engaged, and active citizens. Through Mikva I was able to Intern at the 22nd Ward. I gained hands-on experience in local government by supporting community initiatives and engaging with constituents in the 22nd Ward. I attended City Council meetings, observed political officials in action, and contributed to projects that positively impacted the community. I also developed a deeper understanding of civic engagement while participating in fun and meaningful outreach efforts.
Team Member | Chick-fil-A
From August 2023 to May 2024 • 1 year(s)
My role at Chick-fil-A was nothing far from simple. There were several things I did. I worked on the register, I took customers' orders outside in our drive-thru line, I worked at the cash cart taking cash payments which requires cash handling, I bagged customers' food, I worked in the dining room from time to time to make sure the customers are alright and the areas were clean, and I worked on the window to hand the customers the food. I always made sure to have a positive attitude while serving the customers! Of course, it had its hard days with rushes coming and going, but we made the most of it and make sure to keep on our toes and stay on our task when those days came.
