Carrie Stone is a Biology major at Spelman College, aspiring to become a dentist, committed to increasing representation and access to care in underserved communities. She has gained hands-on dental experience through the Summer Health Professions Education Program at Columbia University and her internship at The Orthodontic Studio, where she assisted in patient care and learned clinical techniques. This summer, Carrie shadowed two dentists, reaching 50 shadowing hours to further deepen her understanding of dental practice. An engaged campus leader, she serves as Treasurer for Operation Smile and is active in organizations focused on diversity in dentistry, entrepreneurship, and community service.
