Claim To Fame:
People on campus know me as someone who consistently shows up prepared, focused, and always willing to lend a hand. I take pride in maintaining a strong balance between my academics, clinical hours, and active campus involvement. One of the highlights of my college journey has been serving in the Student Government Association (SGA) as the Junior Class Associate Justice, where I’ve had the opportunity to advocate for my peers and contribute to meaningful change. Through it all, I’ve remained positive and determined. I want to be remembered as someone who didn’t let life’s challenges define her, but instead used them as fuel to rise higher and push forward.
Most Memorable Moment:
Some of my most memorable moments at Grambling State University came from the sense of community, growth, and pride that only an HBCU experience can offer. One unforgettable moment was being sworn in as the Junior Class Associate Justice in the Student Government Association. Standing in that room, representing my class and stepping into a leadership role, I felt empowered and honored to be trusted with a voice that could help bring about positive change. Another highlight was my first clinical rotation as a nursing major. Walking into a hospital in my scrubs, applying what I had learned in class, and caring for real patients reminded me exactly why I chose this path. It was a full-circle moment going from dreaming about becoming a nurse to finally living a piece of that dream. From Homecoming week festivities, late-night study sessions with classmates who turned into family, to overcoming personal and academic challenges, every step of my college journey has shaped me into a stronger, more confident version of myself. These moments have left a lasting impact on me, and I will carry them with pride into every stage of my life.
