About   (request update)
Jayden Griffin is a dynamic senior at Clark Atlanta University majoring in Mass Media Arts with a concentration in Radio, TV, and Film. A Harlem, NY native and professional actor since age eight, he blends artistry with leadership to create lasting impact. From serving as President of the Men of CAU and stepping with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., to lending his bass voice to the CAU Philharmonic Society Choir, Jayden has built a reputation for inspiring campus engagement among young Black men. His journey includes internships with WCLK Radio and The Whittley Agency, and a transformative study abroad in Ghana with Emerson College’s “Beats Beyond Borders” program. Committed to storytelling that uplifts and empowers, Jayden aims to use media as a tool for cultural preservation and social
Current Whereabouts:
I’m channeling my creativity into media projects that celebrate resilience and culture, while repping on the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. step team. Fresh off a life-changing study abroad in Ghana, I’m expanding my global lens and shaping a media career that amplifies underrepresented voices and stories.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My life’s goal is to merge my passion for storytelling with my commitment to empowering communities. As a professional actor since childhood and a Mass Media Arts major, I aim to build a career in film, television, and digital media that challenges stereotypes, preserves cultural history, and inspires action. I aspire to create content that amplifies underrepresented voices—especially those of the Black community—and to build platforms that mentor and open doors for the next generation of creatives. Beyond my career, I am committed to being a visible example of perseverance for young Black men, showing that you can rise from the inner-city poverty of Harlem, manage a learning disability, and still lead, achieve, and make a global impact. My dream is to one day launch my own media production company and scholarship foundation, ensuring that my legacy extends far beyond the screen and into tangible change in people’s lives.

Claim To Fame:
My claim to fame at Clark Atlanta University is being known as a servant-leader who turns vision into action. As the 2024–2025 President of the Men of CAU, I revitalized campus engagement among male students through mentorship initiatives, collaborative service projects, and high-impact events. I have been recognized as the Emerging Male Student Leader 2024-2025 at the CAU Student Life Awards, crowned Mister Sophomore 2023–2024, and initiated into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Phi Chapter, where I proudly serve on the chapter’s step team. Beyond leadership, I am celebrated for my artistry and school spirit. I sang bass with the CAU Philharmonic Society Choir for my first two years, representing the university in performances that showcased the depth and talent of our student body. I’ve also represented CAU nationally and globally—interning with WCLK Radio and The Whittley Agency, and traveling to Ghana with Emerson College’s “Beats Beyond Borders” study abroad program. Students, faculty, and alumni know me as someone who uses every platform—whether on stage, in service, or across the globe—to empower peers, tell meaningful stories, and build on the legacy of our HBCU community.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moments at Clark Atlanta University are rooted in perseverance and fortitude. As an urban student from the poverty levels of Harlem, New York, I entered CAU already aware of the unique challenges young Black men face in higher education—low campus involvement due to image concerns, lack of confidence, fear of acceptance, peer pressure, and daily life distractions. From day one, I committed to being the example that those barriers could be overcome. While managing a documented learning disability, I have remained deeply active in campus life—serving as the 2024–2025 President of the Men of CAU, being crowned Mister Sophomore 2023–2024, stepping proudly with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Phi Chapter, and using my voice as a bass in the CAU Philharmonic Society Choir my first two years. I have represented CAU locally, nationally, and internationally, from interning with WCLK Radio and The Whittley Agency to traveling to Ghana with Emerson College’s “Beats Beyond Borders” study abroad program. Each of these moments is memorable not just because of the accolades, but because they represent victories over circumstances designed to keep students like me invisible. I have proven—to myself and to others—that with purpose, persistence, and pride in one’s community, a young Black man can lead, inspire, and leave a lasting legacy at his HBCU.
