Before I was a college student, I was (and still currently am during breaks) a Walmart cashier. I have been a cashier for 2 years, and I would say it has helped shape me into who I am today as I have had the opportunity to learn interpersonal skills, communication skills, financial skills, organizational skills, and many more. As a cashier I meet many people everyday and never have the same interaction twice. When meeting people and servicing them, I notice just a simple "Hi, how you doing?" genuinely can make someone's day. A lot of times, you never know what someone is going through, and to know that I can make someone feel good by just acknowledging them gives me a purpose; a purpose to help others feel good, and to give them a reason to live.
Current Whereabouts:
Currently: As of right now school related I am not involved in anything yet due to it being a fresh school year.. however previously I volunteered at the Foodbank, tutored, was apart of Spanish Club, and a member of the National Honor Society.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
To help others mentally and physically. To help others discover themselves. To help others know their purpose in life.
