About   (request update)
I received my first job at fourteen years old. This job consisted of being a community organizer and voice to the youth. We organized and hosted youth summits and teen workshops that allowed my peers to be heard about the issues plaguing our community. Some of the issues we fought for were better prices for students on public transportation and after school programs that the youth can attend after school so they aren't getting into trouble. One of our biggest campaigns was against public buses. We fought to have the buses changed to environmentally friendly buses because we found that the idling buses were producing a high amount of carbon soot into the air which interfered with children's ability to breath clean air. In the inner city, many kids asthma was triggered so this change helped.

Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable college moment is helping to organize the fashion show. I witnessed so many talented peers. From seamstresses to custom sneakers being created all from students. It was profound to see because in our community we look to high fashion designer wear to validate us. The fashion show was a great way to showcase the talent but was a huge confidence builder in the students.
