About   (request update)
As a business and finance major I am well aware that the finance industry has long struggled with diversity and inclusivity. As a young man of African descent. I am committed to challenging existing norms and advocating for more diverse perspectives within the field. Equipt with the knowledge and my experiences from college, I plan to contribute to creating a more inclusive finance environment by supporting initiatives that promote gender equality, racial diversity, and equal opportunities. This could involve leading diversity-focus initiatives or collaborating with organizations that aim to increase representation and support underrepresented groups in finance. I thank you for considering me for this scholarship and helping to provide the finances necessary towards my goals.

My ambition while in Morehouse college is to major in business and minor in the arts. I play the drums, trumpet and guitar but my passion is the drums. In my junior year in H.S. I started a jazz ensemble with me as the drummer. Let's just say I got to display my talents during my solos. My hope is to become part of the drum team. I will of course make an impact on the world of business with my goals of becoming an entrepreneur and enhancing the lives of those in the community by giving back. Another way I give back is through my participation in an environmentally conscious organization called “Bronx is Blooming.” We beautify the Bronx, NY by planting flowers in various areas. Among other things we also plant trees in our effort to combat global warming. I enjoy working with my hands to make the world a better place to live in. Being an assistant sacristarian and usher in my church fills me spiritually. My plan is to continue this feeling of fulfillment at college.
