Michael W. Vouffo is an aspiring healthcare professional dedicated to addressing health disparities in marginalized communities through research and leadership. Pursuing a B.S. in Mathematics and Chemistry at Texas Southern University (expected May 2026), Michael combines academic excellence with impactful internships, including cancer research at MD Anderson Cancer Center and clinical training at Baylor College of Medicine. His research on radiation oncology has been recognized publicly. Fluent in English and French, Michael actively contributes to student leadership roles, including the Thomas F. Freeman Honors College and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.

I am the current President of Campus PALS at Texas Southern University which mainly focuses on the mentorship of the freshmen and our claim to fame as an organization of New Student Week also known as Freshmen Week and this year I successfully planned, organized, and executed the 2025 New Student Week under the theme of Love Island that we entitled Tiger Island
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable moment would have to be my probate, revealing myself to becoming a member of Alpha Phi Alpha was such a memorable moment that I still look back fondly to this day.

A summer spent working with UT Health-Houston and MD Anderson doing Public Health Research comprehensive training in cancer prevention research, focusing on innovative research methods, collaborate within transdisciplinary teams, and address cancer disparities, all while contributing to the advancement of cancer prevention. ● Conducted Radiation Oncology research on Head and Neck Cancer patients specifically Osteoradionecrosis ● Research poster became published on ResearchGate under the Fuller Lab, and mentored under an MD-Ph.D. ● Presented Poster at several conferences and earned research awards for the project.
