I am a pre-nursing student at Fort Valley State University with extensive hands-on volunteer experience in healthcare and youth development. My journey in service began as a team leader for the St. Anne Pacelli Retreat Team and continued through my long-time commitment to Girls Inc. of Columbus. These experiences strengthened my skills in empathetic communication, teamwork, and community engagement.

My passion for healthcare deepened after twice breaking my finger while playing flag football. The care I received from one of the top hand surgeons in my city, and the opportunity to shadow him afterward, gave me firsthand insight into the precision, collaboration, and dedication required in surgery. This experience reinforced my commitment to pursuing a career in nursing.

Most Memorable Moment:

I recently transferred to Fort Valley State University, and although I’m still settling in, one moment already stands out as unforgettable. During the first week of school, I performed at the campus talent show, singing All the Stars by SZA. It was such a fun and uplifting experience, the audience sang along, their phone lights flashing, and the energy in the room was amazing. It felt good to see everyone participating and sharing that moment with me. That night reminded me why I love performing and how powerful music can be in bringing people together.
